GCHG CH Lionridge's Pride of the Peak CGCU TKP FDC ET2

My first Rhodesian Ridgeback is a wonderful dog from Lionridge. Much to my dread, I was required to show and Champion Ilan. Although conformation is not one of my favorite hobbies, I understand its purpose: to challenge breeders to produce the best dogs possible. Within six months, Ilan completed his Championship. As his handler for most of our journey, we acquired ten points and one three-point major. I have been a student, artist, researcher, author, social worker and therapist, but never a handler, until Ilan came into my life. Ilan passed away unexpectedly to a rare systemic fungal infection, neither inherited nor genetic. He exceeded all of our expectations and is dearly missed.
